Republican state senator Rick Gudex says the recent purchase
of Fond du lac machine tool manufacturer Giddings and Lewis is
good news for the company and community.
Gudex says the announcement last week that G-and-L had been sold to the global industrial
engineering group Fives provides job security for the 260 employees in Fond du
Lac. Gudex says the alternative would not have been a good
scenario. "It would have meant closing the facility at some point," Gudex said. Gudex says the new owner has a heritage of over 200 years of
engineering excellence and expertise.
