MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Economic Development Employees would not be allowed to negotiate certain contracts under a bill approved by the state Assembly today. The bill would ban WEDC employees with a monetary interest in a contract from participating in the deal. WEDC is reeling from an audit that revealed the agency hasn't followed state law.
